And one out of three people over the age of 65 has a hearing loss. Despite its prevalence, there is a negative stigma associated with hearing loss, especially among younger people, but it affects all ages. People are reluctant to talk about it, to go to doctors, and to wear hearing aids. And there aren't a lot of stories or books about people with hearing loss.
