Use RECOMMENDED USES Used in herbal medicine as a bulk-forming laxative. Used in herbal medicine to promote bowel movement by increasing volume and water content. Used in herbal medicine to gently relieve constipation and/or irregularity. RECOMMENDED DOSE Adults and adolescents (13 years and older): 1 scoop twice daily. Effects are observed 12-24 hours after the first dose and may take 2-3 days. For each dose, drink (or mix with) at least 150 mL of liquid. Consult a healthcare practitioner before using this product if you are taking medications that inhibit peristalsis (e.g., opioids, loperamide). Consult a healthcare practitioner before using this product if you have diabetes or difficulty swallowing. Consult a healthcare practitioner before using this product if you experience symptoms such as abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, or fever (as these could be signs of abnormal constrictions of the gastrointestinal tract, diseases of the esophagus and/or upper opening of the stomach (cardia), potential or existing intestinal obstruction, intestinal paralysis, megacolon, fecal impaction, inflammation of the intestines, or appendicitis).
