When We Were Sisters

Love and loyalty made them sisters. Secrets could still destroy them.

As children in foster care, Cecilia and Robin vowed they would be the sisters each had never had. Now superstar singer-songwriter Cecilia lives life on the edge, while Robin, once a successful photojournalist, struggles to create the loving family she yearned for.

When a near-fatal accident forces Robin to reevaulate her life, Cecilia asks her to be the still photographer for a documentary she is producing on foster care. Robin knows that Kris, her increasingly absent husband, will be forced to take charge for the months she’s away. She takes a gamble, hoping he will prove their children and marriage are his first priorities.

Cecilia is reevaluating, too. A lifetime of lies has finally caught up with her, and she needs to free herself from the nightmares of her childhood. As the documentary unfolds, memories will be tested and family redefined, but the love two girls forged into bonds of sisterhood will help them move forward as the women they were meant to be.
