She would spend hours listening to the show and daydreaming about life in the fictional train terminal. #2 Sue’s family was very loving and supportive, but they weren’t wealthy. They lived in a pre-war building on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, and her mother worked as a bookkeeper for the city.
