Rocky Mountain Rangers: Guardians of the Wild

A rhyming book for children ages 4 and up, Rocky Mountain Rangers: Guardians of the Wild is based on a song by Alberta band, The Wardens.

It invites children to saddle up, and go on patrol with the Rocky Mountain Rangers! It’s their job to protect Canada’s precious mountain parks. Together, we'll wrangle grizzly bears, rescue stranded hikers, and ride up and down the trails with our horses – it’s all in a day’s work for a national park warden.

This uniquely Canadian book aims to bring the majesty of the Rockies to kids across the country, inspire a love of the outdoors, and pride in our natural heritage. It was featured on CBC News, CTV and Global Television.

The words are adapted from The Wardens' song, Government Cowboy. It features hand-carved illustrations by award-winning artist Lia Golemba, which gives the book a beautifully rugged and distinct look.
