Simple text and a straightforward narrative will hold older babies’ attention and is perfect for readers who are transitioning to picture books.   By the same author, Little Squirrel is also publishing in Fall 2020, followed by Little Fox and Little Duck in Winter 2021.  The author / illustrator Britta was part of a collection of illustrators who worked on Eric Carle’s What’s Your Favorite Bug? published by Henry Holt and Co. in 2019. Her illustration of The Egg (Prestel) received a special mention at the Bologna Ragazzi Awards and her German picture book Alle Wetter! (Jacoby & Stuart) was part of the 100 Outstanding Picturebooks exhibition at the 2018 Frankfurt Fair.
