From its information value: 1. It can serve as (i) a search tool for immigration practitioners regardless of how long they have been practicing unless they only practice immigration litigation before the courts, (ii) a preparation and reference tool for ICCRC Entry to Practice Exam takers, and (iii) a roadmap for immigration prospects regardless of which program they are looking for. 2. After the publication of the Immigrate to Canada, a lot of changes came into play. All of the current pilots introduced by IRCC didn't exist then. After the introduction of the Express Entry on Jan.1, 2015, it keeps evolving. 3. PNPs are important, no one before me has put them together in a single book. From its commercial value: 4. It can be sold at a much higher price. A company sells exam preparation booklets at the price of around $149. Comparing to the booklets, this book is a better tool, for it is a tool not solely for the exam. 5. The book has the potential to be updated on an annual basis to capture all the changes, but any books on arrival matters, though may be updated after several years, don't have such a potential. Part I Immigration Programs 1. The Immigration Practitioner Program (IPP) The IPP is delivered by ten post-secondary institutions across Canada in multiple campuses. • Academy of Learning Career College • Anderson College of Health, Business and Technology • Ashton College • Bow Valley College • CDI College • CSIC e-Academy • Herzing College • Humber College • LaSalle College • University of British Columbia It has been replaced by the Graduate Diploma Program (GDP) on January 1, 2021. The current ten program providers may still offer immigration courses that are not part of the mandatory licence program, for example, exam preparation course. Such courses have been launched by some IPP providers. The numbers of students enrolled in the IPP should add up to thousands including those who have graduated but not yet pass the licence exam and who are yet to graduate. 2. The Graduate Diploma Program (GDP) The GDP is delivered solely by the Queen’s University mainly online. It starts last month, January 2021. The numbers of students enrolled in the GDP is unclear. Part II Potential Readership The proposed book suits the immigration program students, graduates, and immigration practitioners. It is also a practical guide for post-secondary international students and foreign workers who are one of the main sources of permanent residents. It may serve as a practical tool for many designated learning institutions, which are institutions that can enroll international students, as they have the needs to help their international students with immigration information. Here are the groups of readers who, likely, will be interested in the book: • Immigration practitioners (over 4,000 licensed immigration and citizenship consultants; I believe immigration lawyers, unless solely focus on litigation, will welcome this book, too) • International students (to use it to understand their obligations as students and see suitable permanent residence programs); • Designated learning institutions (to help their international students comply with immigration requirements and explore the permanent residence pathways); • Immigration and refugee services organizations (to use it as a guide tool); • Public libraries (to use it as a tool to serve their patrons with immigration needs); • Government departments (though both Immigration, Refugees and citizenship Canada and provinces and territories have detailed guides to walk applicants through their applications, a single guide is from some ten pages to close to 100 pages. Therefore, it's hard for a perfect stranger (even well-educated) to locate the applicable information. In this book, everything is put together in a plain concise and clear way. The book promotes their programs, so I believe they'll welcome it.)
