The Black Diamond Speed Zip 24 Backpack is a lightweight and durable zippered clamshell backpack designed for climbing, mountaineering and ice adventures. Constructed with Black Diamond's new X-rip 210d Nylon fabric reinforced with UTS coating, this backpack can withstand rugged mountain conditions season after season. A welded front abrasion patch protects against rock, ice and crampon strikes. The redesigned shoulder straps and back-panel feature dual-density foam and moisture-wicking material for improved load distribution and comfort on the approach. Secure attachments include micro PickPockets with custom metal dogbone clips for ice tools and removable 20mm straps for crampons. The zippered clamshell top opening provides easy access to gear, with a zippered pocket and tuck-away rope strap. For streamlined on-route use, remove the frame sheet/bivy pad and hipbelt with fixed webbing belt.
