Insole: natural leather Natural leather can be recognized by its untreated surface. Birkenstock deliberately leaves the grain and characteristics of the leather visible. The upper is made of sturdy leather with a thickness of 2.8 to 3.2 mm. Anatomical footbed: cork Cork is a sustainable material derived from the bark of the cork oak tree. It is naturally insulating and provides excellent cushioning and lasting comfort. Outsole: EVA (ethylene vinyl acetate) is a lightweight, very flexible and durable material that offers excellent cushioning. It absorbs the unevenness of the ground for a smooth stride.
